Our event planning instructor, Laura Walter, has over 20 years of experience in the hospitality industry. She formally worked as Catering Sales Manager for Renaissance Montgomery Hotel, as Special Events Director for Montgomery Country Club, and has owned a catering and event planning business. Laura graduated from the University of Houston with a B.S. in Hospitality Management. She holds certifications from NACE as a Certified Professional in Catering and Events and from Marriott as a Certified Wedding Planner. Mrs. Walter will lead the course through a series of lectures and discussions, as well as site visits and hands-on experience with other professionals in the event planning industry.
This course requires an outside time commitment in addition to the classroom hours.
